Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment has secured new broadcasting deals in Italy, Belgium and Portugal for the upcoming CGI-animated series ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks from Bagdasarian Productions and OuiDO! Productions.

Its deals with Italy’s K2, Belgium’s RTBF/OUFtivi and Portugal’s Sic mean PGS has secured 100% of the pay-TV and free-TV carriage available in continental Europe since the M6-commissioned property was introduced to international broadcasters in 2013.

Written, produced, voiced and directed by Janice Karman, the new TV version of the classic franchise is set to launch in early 2015 and has already been licensed by  Super RTL (Germany), Neox (Spain), Nickelodeon (all pay-TV rights, excluding North America and Brazil) and Globosat’s kids channel Gloob (Brazil).

The series features all-new adventures with Alvin, Theodore, Simon and the Chipettes, as well as new original songs produced by Bagdasarian.

Karman and her husband Ross Bagdasarian own the underlying rights to the Chipmunks brand and were the producing team behind the original TV series from the ’80s.

PGS reps ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks TV around the world, excluding the US, and also manages the IP’s merch program.
