FremantleMedia Kids & Family Entertainment (FMKFE) has inked a handful of new licensing deals for its 1980’s British toon Danger Mouse.
Wow! Stuff is on board as master gift licensee, while TVMFashionLab (apparel, underwear and nightwear), Paul Lamond (puzzle and card games), Misirli UK (socks) and Casa Chicos (retro babywear) have also joined the Classic Danger Mouse licensee roster for the UK-focused program.
The new partners join previously announced licensees Global Licensing (apparel), Hype (greeting cards), WG Wholesale Gifts (gifts), Funshack (dress up), Stickems (mobile phone cases and stickers) and 151 (car air fresheners).
FMKFE, which owns global TV and licensing rights for Danger Mouse, is planning two programs for the property – one focused on adult fans of Classic Danger Mouse, and a second being built around the Danger Mouse reboot slated to air on CBBC later this year that targets kids.
Danger Mouse originally aired on ITV in the UK from 1981 to 1992 and became an international hit, being broadcast in more than 80 territories. It is also credited as the first UK cartoon to break into the US.
