Irish animation company Wiggleywoo’s  brand-new preschool series The Day Henry Met has gone into production.

Set to debut on Irish pubcaster RTÉ Television’s preschool channel RTÉjr this June, Nick Jr. (UK, Ireland), TVO Canada (Canada), YLE (Finland) and SVT (Sweden) have all pre-bought the series.

The Day Henry Met (26 x five minutes) encourages kids to use their imagination. It follows inquisitive little boy Henry, who encounters someone or something new in each episode. He then explores the new connection, whether that be a whale, a postman, a knight or the moon, ultimately teaching viewers about real-life objects and occupations.

The series is funded by RTÉjr, The Irish Film Board, Section 481, Creative Europe and pre-sales. Dublin, Ireland-based Monster Entertainment is on-board as the series’ distributor.
