Canada’s Picture Box Distribution has sold Amazon original series Annedroids to Discovery Kids Latin America and secured new deals with broadcasters in Europe for a number of its other children’s series.
Discovery Kids has snapped up seasons one and two of the Sinking Ship Entertainment-produced Annedroids for most of Lat Am, excluding Brazil, where the 52 x half-hour live-action/CGI program will air on Gloob. The deal comes after Discovery Kids Asia picked up the science-based adventure series in December.
In Europe, NRK Norway has acquired the third and fourth seasons of Annedroids, following its purchase of seasons one and two, which will debut on NRK Super in early 2015.
Picture Box has also sold Sinking Ship Entertainment’s 124 x four-minute live-action series Roll Play, Radical Sheep Productions’ 50 x two-minute animated series Yup Yups, and 25 x seven-minute slapstick series Wiki the Kiwi from New Zealand’s Flux Animation to Italy’s Junior TV.
Wiki the Kiwi has also been purchased by distributor Kenny & Co for pay-TV in Korea.
