Georgia-based Appalachian Artworks has appointed Pennsylvania’s  Wicked Cool Toys as master toy licensee for its iconic Cabbage Patch Kids brand.

Wicked Cool Toys has big plans in 2015 for the lovable litter of orphans, which has generated upwards of US$6 billion at retail since its inception nearly 40 years ago.

A new line of Cabbage Patch Kids products, set to be released in the fall, features the 14-inch girl and boy dolls sporting new garb. Like the classic line, each doll will also come with a unique name, birth date, birth certificate and adoption papers from Babyland General Hospital.

The range will also include a bracelet with a heart-shaped charm that interacts with Adoptimal Pets. Featuring pet sounds and a special heart locker that lights up when pressed, these eight-inch Adoptimals pets also come with a bowl and brush. A key bracelet from one of the kids will unlock individual Adoptimal heartbeats.

A variety of babies, accessories, a home and more, will round out  Wicked Cool Toys’ new fall line.

More than 130 million Cabbage Patch Kids and Little People have found homes since being created by artist Xavier Roberts in 1978.
