UK-based ITV Studios Global Entertainment, in partnership with New Zealand’s Pukeko Pictures,is joining forces with digital company BeyondTheStory to create an interactive reading app based on the upcoming Thunderbirds Are Go series.
BeyondTheStory, also based in New Zealand, received an investment from Pukeko Pictures earlier this month to create apps based on Pukeko’s preschool series The WotWots.
The company creates interactive storytelling apps, 3D books and eBooks. It will now create digital content to support the new action-adventure series.
Due out this October, the reading app will extend the viewing experience of the TV series, while encouraging younger users to learn and read.
The digital deal is the latest in the franchise’s growing L&M program.
