In a move that boosts its multi-platform presence, on-demand channel Toon Goggles has inked a deal with VOXX Electronic Corporation to bring the kids VOD platform to car rear entertainment systems.

Following the partnership, Toon Goggles will come preinstalled on VOXX’s Audiovox- and Advent-branded Android headrest systems. Kids will be able to watch animated and live-action shows, as well as play games and music.

Toon Goggles content will play over VOXX’s headrest DVD systems, as a preloaded app. It’s the first partnership for the company that puts the on-demand channel in seatback entertainment.

The VOXX Android based custom headrest systems will be available early March.

The latest deal comes after Toon Goggles announced an agreement in January with US Cellular, which will see the VOD service added to users’ monthly cell phone bills.
