Nickelodeon’s commitment to live-action comedy is continuing with two renewals, Bella and the Bulldogs for season two and The Thundermans for a third season.

Since debuting in January, Bella and the Bulldogs has reached more than 20 million total viewers according to Nickelodeon, and year-to-date is the number-one Nickelodeon program with premieres averaging two million total viewers.

The series is created and co-executive produced by Nickelodeon Writing Program alumni Gabriel Garza and Jonathan Butler with Jeff Bushell serving as executive producer.

Season two finds main character Bella (Brec Bassinger) once again balancing her duties as the quarterback of her school’s football team with her head cheerleader role.

In the new third season of scripted half-hour series The Thundermans, superhero teenage twins Phoebe (Kira Kosarin) and Max (Jack Griffo) have to work harder than ever to conceal their abilities from their school mates after someone close to them learns of their secret identities.

Created and executive produced by Jed Spingarn (Big Time Rush) with David Hoge and Dan Cross as additional executive producers, The Thundermans has been a consistent number-one ranked show in its timeslot for kids since its season two launch.

The renewals come on the heels of Nick’s 2015/16 upfront which included three new greenlit live-action scripted series: Make It Pop, Game Makers and Roll Call.
