PGS Entertainment has widened the footprint of Super 4, the CGI-animated series inspired by Germany’s Playmobil toys, with a raft of new broadcast pickups.

The latest kidcasters on-board—Canal Panda (Spain), VRT (Flemish-speaking Belgium), MiniMax (Eastern Europe), Thai TV3 (Thailand) and NTV7 (Malaysia)—join a large international roster for the series created by Jesse Cleverly and Romain Van Liemt and directed by Arnaud Bouron and Cyril Adam.

The series has been previously picked up by Neox Kidz (Atresmedia) (Spain), TV3 (Catalonia), Canal Panda (Portugal), RTBF (Belgium), RTS (Switzerland), RTL téléKids (Netherlands/Luxembourg), MTV3 (Finland), Canal+ (Poland), Noga (Israel), Workpoint (Thailand), Radio-Canada (Canada), CiTV (UK) and Cartoon Network (Italy/Latin America).

Netflix also nabbed SVOD rights in February, and will begin airing the series for fives to nines in April in all territories, except Canada, where it will premiere in 2016.

Commissioned by France Télévisions, and produced by Method Animation and Morgen Studios, the series based on the 40-year-old children’s brand made its television debut earlier this year.

The 52 x 11-minute episodes follow four main characters—Alex the Knight, Ruby the Pirate, Agent Gene and Twinkle the Fairy—who travel to five extraordinary islands in a multi-transformable vehicle.

In January, ITV Studios announced that a dedicated UK-licensing program for the series will begin rolling out at British retail this fall.
