Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific has teamed up with Thai free-to-air broadcaster Channel 3 to roll out a daily two-hour  block of POGO-branded content in Thailand.

Beginning March 30, the block will air a blend of animated and live-action original content from POGO, the popular kids channel that Turner launched in 2004 in India.

The new POGO block is slated to air in Thai on Family Channel 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on weekends. Its programming includes first-run and exclusive content, with live-action shows such as M.A.D. (Music, Art and Dance), F.A.Q. (a science show for inquisitive kids) and Chhota Bheem, one of India’s largest homegrown animated series.

Along with marking POGO’s first extension beyond India, the new block comes as Turner continues to boost its presence in Thailand. It recently launched its Toonami kids brand in the region in more than 11 million homes. On the theme park side, Cartoon Network also opened Cartoon Network Amazone, its first-ever branded waterpark in Bang Saray, near Pattaya.

After the block’s debut, Turner and Channel 3 will explore opportunities for co-productions and local original production to offer additional tailor-made content for local viewers.
