Just two days after Nickelodeon launched its Nick Jr. Apple Watch app to help parents remotely manage their kids’ digital screen time, the PBS KIDS Super Vision app for Apple Watch has entered the market.

The free app, which launched last year for iPhones and iPods, gives on-the-go parents the ability to limit their children’s screen time on pbskids.org by activating a Play Timer on the Apple Watch.

Once parents enter a code in the app on their iPhone, iPod or Apple Watch device, they can access real-time details on what their child is playing, watching and learning on pbskids.org; remotely set the Play Timer that will put pbskids.org to sleep on their child’s screen; and select from a number of off-screen activity recommendations from PBS Parents plus additional learning goals on pbskids.org.

The PBS KIDS Super Vision app is available at the App Store on Apple Watch, iPhone and iPod Touch or at www.AppStore.com/PBSKIDS.

It’s PBS KIDS’ second app designed specifically for parents, after the free literacy- and math-themed PBS Parents Play & Learn app.

The launch also comes on the heels of PBS KIDS’ first appisodes app release.
