Following a second BAFTA win for best children’s factual entertainment series, Operation Ouch has been greenlit by CBBC for a fourth season from UK prodco Maverick. The live-action series is also expanding its global footprint, with a local version of the show commissioned by Dutch public broadcaster NOS.

Both deals were secured by fellow UK prodco Serious Lunch, which holds worldwide rights to the series, excluding the UK. Season three of the show aired on CBBC, Discovery Asia and ABC Australia.

Looking at how the body works and how it fixes itself, the series is supported by a growing publishing line, which includes a book from Little Brown called Your Amazing Body and a new title published this year, Medical Milestones, Crazy Cures.
