New Turner and Sesame toon heads to Pogo

Turner Broadcasting System Asia Pacific and Sesame Workshop have launched new animated preschool series Chamki ki Duniya for Turner’s Indian kids channel Pogo.

The series marks the companies’ second venture, after partnering for five seasons of Galli Galli Sim Sim (the Hindi-language adaptation of Sesame Street).

Airing on weekdays and targeting kids two to six, Chamki ki Duniya follows the educational adventures of a curious five-year-old schoolgirl named Chamki and her group of friends who love playing games, making music and solving mysteries.

The program’s curriculum encourages early literacy, creative thinking, family and community life, healthy habits and cultural diversity.

Part of the series’ content also champion’s financial literacy. Chamki ki Duniya is sponsored by MetLife Foundation’s global “Dream, Save, Do: Financial Empowerment for Families” campaign.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-based Inspidea (BAFTA-nominated Pet Squad) is animating the series.
