Henson ups Lista to VP of feature film production

The Jim Henson Company has promoted Blanca Lista to VP of feature film production to oversee the company's growing development slate of animated, puppet and live-action movies.

The Jim Henson Company has promoted Blanca Lista to VP of feature film production to oversee the company’s growing development slate of animated, puppet-based and live-action movies.

Reporting to CEO Lisa Henson, Lista’s new remit encompasses several development projects including long-awaited features Fraggle Rock and Power of the Dark Crystal, as well as new book adaptation The Portable Door and animated features Frog and Toad, Pinocchio with Guillermo Del Toro, and Which Witch, with writer, producer and star Billy Crystal.

Lista joined The Jim Henson Company in 2009 as a story editor in the company’s film department and became director of feature development in 2012.

She recently served as a production executive on Henson’s Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day for Disney.

Prior to her time with the company, Lista was a creative assistant at Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
