Entertainment One Licensing is launching a new program for its teen brand Skelanimals at US pop culture retail chain Hot Topic, where it exclusively debuted in 2006 and grossed more than $US27 million in sales over two years.

Featuring newly released character Bonita the Unicorn, and new products from Lounge Fly (bags, wallets, jewelry), Toynami (plush), Iron Fist (fashion apparel) and Goodie Two Sleeves (t-shirts), the range will roll out the third week of July at select Hot Topic stores across the US and at HotTopic.com.

A series of comedic shorts, supported by paid media, will also rollout in July on YouTube.

In addition, Card.com recently signed on to offer Skelanimals debit cards online and Nail Pop has inked a deal to sell branded nail decals at specialty stores.

Skelanimals are cute animals that suffered an untimely death, mostly as a result of their own reckless and ill-advised behavior. The brand is distributed in boutiques and specialty chains in more than 30 countries.
