Hello Kitty owner Sanrio has inked new licensing deals for a number of its IPs.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Little Twin Stars property, Sanrio and American Greetings Properties will launch a fashion collection from JapanLA Clothing Company featuring both Little Twin Stars and Care Bears, along with an assortment of lifestyle products and an experiential pop-up café.
Sanrio has partnered up with Kid O (Hello Kitty infant and kids toys) and Vaultz-Idea Stream (Hello Kitty lockable storage cases) for back-to-school rollouts. And Brick Brick (fashion caps), The Classic Brand (junior sportswear) and Vinca (jewelry featuring Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, My Melody, Badtz-Maru and Chococat) have also joined Sanrio’s licensee roster.
Sanrio is expanding in the US licensed food market with a Hello Kitty Kikkoman Soy Sauce bottle, Spam Hello Kitty musubi kits and Pillsbury Hello Kitty refrigerated cookie dough due out this summer.
And lastly, collage-making photo app PicCollage, which has over 90 million users, will release Hello Kitty sticker sets globally for iOS and Android devices.
