In advance of the June 19 US premiere of the latest Disney-Pixar film Inside Out, Disney Mobile Games has launched Inside Out Thought Bubbles, a new bubble-shooter game for iOS and Android devices.

The new app is based on the upcoming film, produced by Pete Docter (Up, Monsters Inc.) and starring Saturday Night Live alums Amy Poehler and Bill Hader and actress/comedian Mindy Kahling. The film follows 11-year-old Riley and her emotions – Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust and Sadness – who are plunged into chaos when Riley gets uprooted to a new home.

The game is created by Tim FitzRandolph, who also created Disney Mobile’s hugely successful Where’s My Water? app. It features 125 levels, in which players match and sort memory bubbles in Riley’s head. Along with the film’s characters, the mobile game features locations inspired by the movie, such as Family Island, Dream Productions and Imagination Land.

Each Emotion has its own unique power-up to help gameplay. Kids can create a sunburst with Joy, let the rain pour down with Sadness or launch a fireball with Anger, while watching out for obstacles like Brain Freezes.

Inside Out Thought Bubbles is now available for download on the Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and Amazon Appstore. The new app marks the latest consumer products offering for the emotionally charged IP, joining upcoming toy lines and physical products from Disney Consumer Products and Tomy.
