Short series Two More Eggs from web animation pioneers The Brothers Chaps (a.k.a. Mike and Matt Chapman) has launched on Disney XD’s YouTube channel and the WATCH Disney XD app, marking the broadcaster’s first move into original content made specifically for its non-linear platforms.

The 40-episode comedy series debuted on June 23 with three animated shorts, and will roll out a new episode every Tuesday this summer. It features the Chapman brothers’ signature blend of absurdist gags, catchy songwriting and silly characters, brought to life using flash and CGI animation and live action.

Episodes include the premiere “Dooble – Dooblie Doo” (pictured), about a potbellied character who explores the world while singing his silly theme song; “CGI Palz – Theme Song,” featuring an unlikely group of computer-animated friends who sing about the unlimited benefits of being computer-generated; and “Hot Dip – Not 4 Momz,” a commercial parody for Hot Dip, the latest snack food loved by everyone except moms.

Based in Atlanta, The Brothers Chaps earned their web cred before the advent of social media platforms, when their flash-animated series Homestar Runner debuted to critical acclaim in 2000. They’ve worked together on Disney Television Animation’s Wander Over Yonder, and Matt Chapman’s solo credits include Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, Gravity Falls and Star vs. The Forces of Evil.

Two More Eggs is produced by The Brothers Chaps’ Citywide Hoop Champs prodco in association with Disney Television Animation, and it’s expected to air on Disney XD’s cable and satellite channels later this year.

Disney first experimented with original digital-first content in late 2013 when it launched Sheriff Callie’s Wild West on its WATCH Disney Junior app to great success. Record ratings followed for the program’s January 2014 TV debut, and a second series was announced in November.
