In line with its mission to discover new original content, Amazon Studios rolled out six new kids series pilots today.
Greenlit in May, the pilots are now available on Amazon Instant Video in the US, the UK and Germany. The new offerings follow Amazon’s first round of 2015 pilots, which premiered in January.
The chosen kids pilots debuting today include preschool animated series The Adventures of Knickerbock Teetertop (pictured) from Karrot Animation and six-to-11 series Lost in Oz from Flaunt Productions and Arc Productions, Lily the Unicorn from The Jim Henson Company and Bear in Underwear from Bento Box.
Also for kids ages six to 11, there are live-action pilots A History of Radness, which is written and exec produced by Andrew Green (Hannah Montana) and The Kicks, based on a book series by US Olympic gold medalist and current US Women’s National Team soccer player Alex Morgan. Adapted by David Babcock (Gilmore Girls), the series is executive produced by Babcock, Todd Cohen (Kath & Kim) and novelist James Frey and his company Full Fathom Five.
From its first 2015 round of pilots, Amazon Studios has already greenlit full seasons for live-actioner Just Add Magic and preschool toon The Stinky & Dirty Show.
