Music-based interstitial preschool series Will’s Jams starring Canadian entertainer Will Stroet has been picked up by US satellite provider DISH for its video-on-demand channel, and Picture Box has come on board as the show’s international distributor.

Will’s Jams Productions secured the deal and the 27 x three-and-a-half-minute Kids’ CBC series is now available on DISH’s VOD channel via its Heartland Package and the DISH Movie Pack.

It’s also accessible for on-the-go viewers through DISH Anywhere’s mobile app and desktop site.

Will’s Jams is a series of comical and educational music videos about sport, hygiene, healthy eating, colors, numbers and the environment that encourages children to live active and creative lives.

The series blends live-action with animation and features Stroet’s signature wit and award-winning music.

Bowen Island-based Turtlebox Productions and Vancouver, Canada-based Pebble Star Productions, which co-own Will’s Jams Productions, independently produced season one in 2012 before the CBC commissioned seasons two and three the following year.

Kids’ CBC currently airs the program on weekday mornings at 9:25 a.m.

In addition, the show’s reach may soon expand internationally thanks to a new deal with Toronto-headquartered Picture Box Distribution.

Will’s Jams is directed and executive produced Turtlebox’s Cameron Hayduk and produced by his partner Kathleen Kelly Hayduk.

To date, Stroet has recorded four albums in English, four in French, has toured Canada extensively and will soon embark on a US tour.
