Canada’s Picture Box Distribution has sold the first two seasons of Sinking Ship Entertainment’s CGI/live-action hybrid series Annedroids to Disney EMEA and Finnish pubcaster YLE.

Disney has nabbed the STEM-inspired show for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, South and Sub-Saharan Africa. YLE will air the two seasons in Finland.

Annedroids follows science whiz Anne and her friends Nick and Shania, as they perform experiments in Anne’s junkyard lab with the help of her android creations Pal, Hand and Eyes.

The 52 x half-hour series has already been sold to broadcasters in Canada, the US, Latin America, Asia and several Western European countries, including the UK, Germany, Sweden and Norway. Most recently, the show’s second season was released on Amazon Prime in the US.

Annedroids is also fresh off its win at Canada’s Youth Media Alliance awards, where it took home the Grand Prize for Best Production in all categories.
