PopCap Games, a division of Redwood, California-based digital entertainment company Electronic Arts, has appointed two new licensing agents to rep its Plants vs. Zombies video game franchise.

As part of the strategy to grow the brand globally, Sweden’s Alicom Licensing has been tapped to design a licensing program for the Nordics, while Miami, Florida-headquartered Exim will do the same in Brazil from its local office.

Alicom and Exim will look to harness the property’s momentum from 2014 when it was named brand of the year by Mexican retailer Promarca, thanks to a robust licensing program from agent Tycoon.

The brand also continues to do well in comic books. To date, American publisher Dark Horse Comics has sold more than one million copies of Plants vs. Zombies titles.

Additionally, Bulldog Licensing represents Plants vs. Zombies in Europe and has signed leading licensees across key categories.
