My Knight and Me, a new CGI medieval comedy for six- to 11-year-olds, is hitting the pipeline at French studio TeamTO and Belgium’s Thuristar.

The 52 x 11-minute series, distributed by Cake Entertainment, has five broadcasters on-board, including Canal+ Family and Teletoon+ (France), Super RTL (Germany), and VRT-Ketnet and RTBF-Ouftivi (Belgium).

It ‘s set to debut on Canal+ Family and on Super RTL next year.

My Knight and Me stars Jimmy the Squire and Cat the Princess, who are best friends at Epic High. The duo, together with the help of Jimmy’s dad, set out to make the Middle Ages a lot more fun.

The show is a spin-off of Thuristar’s 850 Meters, a short film by Joeri Christiaen, and it includes short imaginary 2D-sequences produced by Thuristar combined with 3D animation from TeamTO – the studio carrying out service work on series like Sofia the First and the newly announced PJ Masks.

Music by Belgian composer Frederik Segers will also be woven into the series.
