Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA has named Moscow-headquartered licensing agency Megalicense International as its representative in Russia and CIS.

The agreement comes into effective January 1, 2016, at which time Megalicense will take the lead in both markets for WBCP’s portfolio of brands (TV, film, new theatrical releases) as well as their associated L&M programs.

Notable global brands in WBCP’s arsenal include classic animated properties Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, The Flintstones and Scooby-Doo, Mortal Kombat and all DC Comics Super Heroes, including Batman and Superman.

WBCP has big expectations for the March 2016 theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will look to Megalicense to capitalize on licensing and merchandising opportunities in the region.

For Megalicense, the partnership with WBCP follows recent deals to represent global brands like Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and eOne’s Peppa Pig in Russia and Ukraine.
