Young Nintendo fans across the UK and Ireland can now enjoy branded content and share their own creations via the gaming company’s new channel on the kids social app PopJam.

The Nintendo UK channel lets kids create and share their own Nintendo-inspired fan art, take quizzes, complete puzzles, or watch videos featuring Nintendo franchises, such as Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Tomodachi Life and Splatoon.

Owned by kids digital marketing platform SuperAwesome, PopJam is designed as a safe and moderated environment for mobile and tablet users under 13, where they can create and share art, stories, pictures, games and contests, as well as like posts and leave comments. To access the Nintendo UK channel, users can download the free PopJam app via the UK App Store or UK Google Play.

UK-based SuperAwesome bought kid-safe social media platform PopJam from British entertainment company Mind Candy in September, following a Series A funding investment. And the Nintendo deal is in line with SuperAwesome’s plan to expand the platform’s partnerships with popular kids brands.

Shortly after the platform debuted in the UK and Australia last year, PopJam reached a publishing deal with Penguin Children’s Puffin imprint. It has since partnered with the likes of YouTube stars DanandPhil and magazines GirlTalk and Horrible Histories.
