NBCUniversal Brand Development Group has appointed India’s Black White Orange as its licensing and merchandising agent for India and South Asia, as the company enters both markets for the first time.

Black White Orange will manage L&M programs across apparel, toys, stationery, gifts, novelty, back-to-school, home décor and innovative non-traditional categories for NBCUniversal franchises including Minions, Despicable Me, Jurassic World and The Secret Life of Pets. (Jurassic World is the second highest-grossing Hollywood movie of all-time in India behind Furious 7.)

The agency will look to establish, grow and expand NBCUniversal’s business in the region in key areas like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Launched in September 2015, Black White Orange also reps Sesame Street in the region.
