The UK licensing program for preschool property Bing, from London-based indie studio Acamar Films, has added seven new licensees appointed by its agent The Licensing Company.

Joining the program are HTI Group, Dreamtex, Blueprint, Spearmark TDP Aykroyds Roy Lowes and TVM Fashion Lab.

Partners already aboard the BAFTA-nominated IP include HarperCollins (publishing), Fisher-Price (toys), Egmont (magazines), Immediate Media (CBeebies magazines), Ravensburger (games), Woodmansterne (greeting cards), Rainbow Productions (costumes) and Studiocanal (home entertainment).

Produced for CBeebies by Acamar and 9 Story Media Group-owned Brown Bag Films of Dublin, Ireland, Bing  examines preschool life as seen through the eyes of a three-year-old rabbit.

The 78 x seven-minute series based on the bestselling books by Ted Dewan bowed in 2014 and has since been picked up by broadcasters including ABC (Australia), S4C (Wales), RTE (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), DR (Denmark), Gulli and Tiji (France), Clan (Spain), Canal Panda (Portugal), NRK (Norway), HOP (Israel) and TVNZ (New Zealand).

Bing has also attracted 81 million downloads since launching digitally on BBC’s iPlayer.

Distribution for the IP across a range of territories is handled by the rights and brand division of Aardman while Acamar manages distribution in countries covered by existing co-production agreements, as well as sales in the US and Japan.
