Brand management and production company 4K Media has signed a non-exclusive licensing deal with lifestyle brand Silver Buffalo, which is producing a line of housewares, lifestyle products and accessories based on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters.

The New York-based companies will work together to develop specialty hot and cold drink ware, home décor and blanket lines incorporating artwork from the Japanese anime series. Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. The products are scheduled to land at mass market, specialty and independent retail outlets across Canada and the US this spring.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Yugi and friends Joey, Tristan and Téa are hooked on Duel Monsters, the newest card-battling game that’s sweeping the nation. Players pit different mystical creatures against one another in creative and strategic duels using monster and spell cards. As Yugi and his friends become completely caught up in the game, they soon realize there’s more to the cards than meets the eye.

In recent 4K Media news, the subsidiary of Japan’s Konami Digital Entertainment was named master licensee for Tokyo Crown Creative’s girls fashion brand Rebecca Bonbon in North America and Europe. The licensing program spanning apparel, accessories, cosmetics, home décor, plush and pet products is expected to launch at high-end and boutique retailers later this year.
