Rovio Entertainment affiliate Kaiken Publishing has picked up global master publishing rights for Cyprus-based Toonbox Animation’s properties Kit^n^Kate and Qumi-Qumi.
As both IPs continue to draw large TV and online viewership numbers, Kaiken Publishing will kick off its representation of them at the upcoming Bologna Licensing Trade Fair in April.
Qumi-Qumi (13 x 11 minutes) is a series about a picturesque world inhabited by three tribes living on different islands. It currently has terrestrial broadcast TV coverage in Russia and Estonia, and boasts more than 230 million YouTube views. The animated series, aimed at kids ages six to 10, is also available worldwide on Rovio’s ToonsTV VOD platform, Kidoodle.TV, NetKids, Battery Pop and Toon Goggles.
Educational preschool series Kit^n^Kate (16 x five minutes) airs in Russia, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, and will soon be heading to Europe. It’s also available globally via Kidoodle.TV, NetKids, Battery Pop and Toon Goggles.
