TLC to rep Cartoon Network in France, GSA, Benelux

The brand manager will look to position Cartoon Network as the licensing leader in each of the three key markets.

Cartoon Network EMEA has appointed brand manager TLC as its licensing agent for France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia and Benelux to bolster the presence of CN’s franchises in these markets.

Under the deal, TLC is tasked with managing the licensing programs for CN’s portfolio of animated IPs. Key properties for TLC include Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, and iconic IPs like The Powerfpuff Girls and Ben 10, both of which are ramping up for rebooted TV series and CP programs. (The two franchises have generated US$4.5 billion and US$2.5 billion, respectively, at global retail.)

Cartoon Network is looking to replicate the licensing success it has had in core European markets and it sees plenty of potential for growth in the French, GSA and Benelux territories.

In January, CN tapped Singapore’s Pacific Licensing Studio to rep its consumer products division in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the aforementioned properties.
