Germany’s Studio 100 Media has partnered with global media network beIN on beJunior, a new pay-TV channel for children and families that launches today across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Based on the Studio 100 pay-TV channel Junior that broadcasts in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, beJunior is available exclusively for beIN Media Group’s pay-TV subscribers and will feature a raft of Studio 100’s classic and new kids series including Maya the Bee, Vic the Viking and Heidi.

Among Studio 100’s upcoming CGI-animated programs set to air are The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill, Nils Holgersson and Arthur and the Minimoys.

Aside from MENA, beIN’s broadcast reach extends to France, the US, Canada, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia.

beIN’s kids channel arrives after the platform introduced its own and branded movie entertainment channels in November 2015, diversifying beyond its premium sports offering and factual programming.

In other Studio 100 Media news, the production and distribution company is taking four new live-action series for kids ages six to 12 to MIPTV next week.

Night Watch (season one) is a 13 x 25-minute fantasy series that follows the heroic small-town adventures of three teenagers who happen to be an elf, a vampire and a werewolf. Studio 100 is readying a second season for fall 2016.

Kosmoo is a 13 x 25-minute mystery series about a 13-year-old boy, Robbe, his bionic dog Kosmoo and their best friend, a disabled girl named Ellis. Season two is expected for September 2017.

Rounding out the shows are season one of 13 x 12-minute invention-inspired comedy series The Adventures of Jolly Lolly (season two will deliver from June 2016) and the first two 52 x 12-minute seasons of detective series Ghost Rockers.

Seasons three and four are currently in production and development, respectively.
