In a growing language-learning mobile market, Ohio’s American Greetings Entertainment has partnered with New York-based Bilingual Children’s Enterprises (BCE) to develop a new app that introduces early learners to Spanish and English.

The app is being designed to stimulate preschoolers’ language development through videos, games and storybooks, featuring American Greetings’ Care Bears brand along with a cast of multicultural characters.

BCE is the creator of TipiTom, a series of bilingual early-learning videos and apps currently available for mobile devices.

The Care Bears have been speaking a digital language for some time, but American Greetings’ renewed focus on the evergreen brand—announced last October during a company rebrandinghas made interactive extensions a top priority. On top of debuting Care Bears & Cousins on Netflix last November, American Greetings has 10 new branded apps that are set to bow in 2016.

To date, the company’s digital partners have included Ubisoft, Plumzi, Ruckus Media Group, Playdate Digital, TwigTale, Gamepill, Budge Studios, NeonMob, Bare Tree Media and Night and Day Studios.
