UK pubcaster CBBC has ordered a third 10 x half-hour season of Leopard Drama’s BAFTA-nominated teen sci-fi drama Eve.

The female-led homegrown series starring Poppy Lee Friar (Mr. Selfridge) as sentient robot Eve will resume production this summer in Scotland. The series follows Eve’s struggles to make sense of human life as a teenager living with a suburban family.

Eve is written and co-created by longtime BBC children’s writer Emma Reeves (Tracy Beaker Returns, The Dumping Ground). Blacklisted Films’ creative director David Chikwe (Lionsgate’s The Holding, BBC’s Missing) co-created the series.

CBBC’s Amy Buscombe will take over executive producing duties from season two’s Sue Nott, while Leopard Drama’s Ruth Caleb will return to co-executive produce with Peter Gallagher and Chikwe on board  in production roles. The new season will air on CBBC later this year.

Leopard Drama is a division of indie producer Argonon, which has headquarters in London, New York, Glasgow and Vancouver, and was formed by Leopard Films CEO James Burstall in 2011.
