Former Twentieth Century Fox exec Roz Nowicki has been tapped to lead Iconix Entertainment Group and Peanuts Worldwide as EVP─replacing Leigh Anne Brodsky who left Iconix for Discovery Communications earlier this month.

As part of her new role, Nowicki will lead the Peanuts team as the brand continues to benefit from the recent release of The Peanuts Movie, as well as new short-form animated content that currently airs globally and in the US on Boomerang and Cartoon Network.  She will also execute the company’s current strategy for Strawberry Shortcake, which includes a recent partnership with DHX Media for the development of a new 39-ep TV series.

The marketing, brand licensing, product development and retail exec most recently served as EVP of global sales and retail at Fox, where she oversaw the consumer products strategy for TV shows like The Simpsons and films including Ice Age. For more than a decade, Nowicki was EVP at 4Kids Entertainment, where she oversaw the revitalization of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Cabbage Patch Kids, and the launch of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Nowicki’s move to Iconix Brand Group comes less than two months after the arrival of new CEO John Haugh, who has been tasked with growing the company’s portfolio of brands, which account for roughly US$13 billion in retail sales globally.
