DHX Brands—the dedicated IP management and consumer products arm of Canada’s DHX Media—has signed six new North American licensees for its preschool property Teletubbies.

The deals, which were brokered by CPLG North America, were inked with Hybrid (apparel), Amscan (paper and party goods), Playtex (sippy cups, bottles and pacifiers), Global Brands Group/AME (sleepwear), Rasta Imposta (costumes) and Tab Tale (apps).

These partners join previously announced licensees Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE), Spin Master, Accessory Innovations, SG Company, Granco Manufacturing, Betesh, VTech and Cube Interactive.

The global home entertainment distribution deal with SPHE encompasses all new and classic episodes of the show.

Teletubbies first launched in March 1997 and has aired in more than 120 territories. DHX Media’s new Teletubbies series debuted last November on CBeebies, and it launched last month on Nick Jr. in the US and on Family Jr. in Canada. The show is also gearing up for a second season.

DHX Media acquired all rights to the franchise when it bought Ragdoll Worldwide in 2013.
