Warner Bros. Consumer Products has revealed an array of new licensing and merchandising programs for franchises including J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World at this week’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
In support of the November 18 premiere of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find, the anticipated feature film from first-time screenwriter and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, WBCP will launch a robust publishing program plus lines of apparel, toys, collectibles, housewares and stationery.
WBCP will join the IP’s existing publishers Scholastic, HarperCollins and Insight Editions, which came on board in March.
For its DC portfolio, Warner Bros. will introduce a global L&M program for Wonder Woman featuring fashion- and trend-focused items in celebration of the brand’s 75th anniversary and upcoming self-titled solo feature film that will premiere in June 2017.
In addition, WBCP and master toy partner Mattel are set to rollout a global merchandising program across multiple categories in July based on the popular new DC Super Hero Girls IP.
Rounding out the product growth, a new program is expected to launch in support of Warner Bros. Pictures’ and WAG Pictures’ CGI-animated family feature S.C.O.O.B.
