Lagardère’s French preschool channel Tiji has picked up pay-TV rights to Zodiak Kids’ new CGI-animated series Lilybuds.

The 52 x 11-minute series is currently being produced in France at a leading 3D studio and was previously greenlit by France Télévisions, which is also one of its co-producers, along with Discovery Kids Latin America and Zodiak Kids Studios.

As global owner of distribution and licensing rights for Lilybuds, Zodiak Kids has also just appointed Discovery Consumer Products as the property’s licensing representative in LatAm.

Targeting older preschoolers ages four to six, the series reveals the inner workings of a beautiful garden located in the center of an urban park, where a community of tiny magical creatures called Lilybuds band together to keep their green home humming and care for the animals that inhabit the garden. The property will also have a strong digital presence though a companion online world that’s currently in the works.
