London-based Acamar Films and global distribution partner Aardman have secured new international broadcast deals for preschool series Bing.

Following recent premieres on Zappelin (Netherlands), Canal+ (Poland) and BBC Worldwide (Africa), the Emmy-winning animated series has been snapped up by Nick Jr. for Australia, Disney Junior in South East Asia and LTV Latvia.

Aardman’s rights and brand development division negotiated the new deals.

Since bowing on CBeebies in June 2014, the Acamar and Brown Bag Films co-produced series has been picked up by broadcasters including ABC (Australia), S4C (Wales), RTE (Ireland), SVT (Sweden), DR (Denmark), Gulli and TiJi in France (part of the Lagardère Group), Clan (Spain), Canal Panda (Portugal), NRK (Norway), TVNZ (New Zealand), HOP (Israel), Minimax (Eastern Europe) and VRT (Belgium).

The property’s licensing program is also gaining momentum with Fisher-Price (toys) and HarperCollins (books) among 19 licensees already on board.

And in the digital space, Acamar and Aardman released the first Bing app, Bing Baking, for iOS and Android mobile devices this past summer.
