Streaming giant Netflix continues to invest in original programming for kids with six new animated series in the works, including two projects from Saban Brands and one from The Lego Group.

Launching next year, Saban’s Kibaoh Klashers follows the action adventures of a young beetle named Dylan, who turns his dream of becoming a race car champion into reality.

Also from Saban, along with Korean studio Sunwoo Animation, is CGI preschool series Treehouse Detectives (pictured), which tells the sleuthing tales of sibling bears Toby and Teri. Season one is expected to launch in Netflix’s global territories  in 2018, and at a later date in South Korea.

As for The Lego Group, its latest Netflix original is Lego Elves, which follows on the heels of Lego Bionicle: The Journey to One and Lego Friends: The Power of Friendship.

Based on the toyco’s popular Elves brand, the series follows the heroic adventures of human protagonist Emily Jones who, with help from her new elf friends, must save her younger sister from the clutches of a dastardly Goblin King and his evil minions. The first eight episodes of the series will bow on Netflix globally in 2017.

Also premiering late next year is Super Monsters from 41 Entertainment, the studio behind Netflix original kids series Kong-King of the Apes and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan and Jane. Produced by Marvel Studios founder Avi Arad, the series follows the adventures of a group of six preschool superheroes who are humans by day and magical, super-powered monsters by night. Themes such as sharing, communicating feelings and respecting others are featured in each episode.

Rounding out the new programs, ITV Studios’ Robozuna follows the adventures of an orphaned teenage boy, Ariston, and his homemade robot friend Mangle. Both are thrust into a dangerous mission to free their oppressed land from an evil empire ruled by villainous robot centurions.

The series, which will debut globally in 2018 and in the UK following its CiTV premiere, continues Netflix’s recent production push with UK-based projects.

Finally, The Hollow from Vancouver, Canada-based Slap Happy Cartoons will stream exclusively on Netflix in 2018. The mystery series features three teenagers who encounter weird towns, time portals, dangerous creatures and eccentric characters on their journey home after waking in a strange underground bunker.
