PlayKids launches new Learn app

The mobile platform is launching a new educational app that features games and activities from Disney ImagiCademy.

With six million monthly active users under its belt, mobile entertainment and education platform PlayKids has released its newest app, PlayKids Learn.

PlayKids—founded by Latin American mobile content platform Movile—is launching the new app in Latin America, China and English-speaking countries.

PlayKids Learn will focus on reading, building, math, science and art. The app will provide an interactive learning experience with games and activities from Disney’s ImagiCademy like Mickey’s Magical Arts and Math World, Read with Doc and Jake’s Never Land Shapes and Patterns.

PlayKids’ suite of apps includes PlayKids (videos and games), Stories (virtual library) and Party (instant messaging), all designed for kids ages two and up. The platform provides access to more than 5,000 episodes of family-friendly shows as well as original content created by the PlayKids team, which is released every week.

Additionally, more than 1,000 books are available including Disney classics like Pocahontas and Alice in Wonderland.

Access to all premium PlayKids content is US$6.99 per month, while the apps are free to try and available offline.
