Canada’s Corus Entertainment has snapped up seasons one and two (104 x 11-minutes) of eOne’s hit animated series Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom for its preschool net Treehouse.

The series, created by the award-winning British animation studio Astley Baker Davies (Peppa Pig), made its Canadian broadcast debut on October 24.

eOne’s New York office is now handling a Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom consumer products program for Canada, which will add to the IP’s 65 licensees worldwide.

Currently airing in more than 130 countries, the series follows the adventures of fairy princess Holly and her best friend Ben Elf.

Recently picked up by Mexican free-to-air broadcaster Televisa, Ben & Holly toys are expected to launch at retailers in the region this spring.

The brand has already delivered consumer products success in the UK, Spain, Australia and Italy, with new programs rolling out in Greece, Russia and Latin America.
