PBS KIDS and Whole Foods Market are launching an exclusive holiday toy line featuring Aurora plush animals and PlanToys wooden products, which are designed to encourage curiosity about animals and teach kids about the importance of protecting the environment
The items are part of a multi-year partnership recently inked between the US public broadcaster and the organic supermarket chain.
Beginning today, the toy collections will be available at Whole Foods Markets across the US, as well as online at shop.pbskids.org—will all items priced under US$30 apiece.
The Aurora plush collection features 16 animals, including eight endangered species. The 17 PlanToys wooden products include the field-to-farm playset and the safari animals croquet set.
The toys are made ethically and sustainably, according to Whole Foods, which will donate 1% of its total holiday toy sales to the Whole Kids Foundation, an organization dedicated to children’s nutrition.
Earlier this year, Whole Foods launched an array of products inspired by the PBS KIDS series Wild Kratts as part of the same partnership. The range, which includes packaged cookies, vitamins, lunch totes, body wash and bubble bath, is available in the US and Canada.
