Longtime Sesame Workshop vet Maura Regan is joining the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) as EVP, where she will focus on broadening the global scope of the trade group’s services and offerings.

Regan spent nearly two decades at Sesame Workshop, where she was most recently SVP and GM of international media business. In that role, she oversaw global licensing efforts as well as the opening of the company’s first office in China.

Prior to that, Regan was SVP and GM of global consumer products at the Workshop. She also holds previous experience working at Scholastic Entertainment and MTV Networks, and she also served as chairman of LIMA’s board of directors from 2012 to 2014.

Regan is the latest in a number of recent appointments made by LIMA. Earlier this year, Peter Hollo was named MD of LIMA’s German operation, and Rutika Malaviya was tapped as the group’s official representative for India.
