Four months after making its US debut, UK-based SVOD app Hopster is in a position to reach thousands of additional American families, thanks to a deal with digital content provider Fingerprint.

Under the new collaboration, Hopster’s ad-free preschool content will be offered on a number of kid-friendly platforms, the first of which is the Samsung Kids App (for US$7.99 per month/US$59.99 per year).

This marks the first time Hopster will be included in the Samsung Kids library, although Samsung did make Hopster available on its Smart TVs in 2014.

Hopster, which now reaches more than one million users worldwide, features shows like Teletubbies, Reading Rainbow and Monster Math Squad. In October, Sony Pictures Television Networks acquired a minority stake in the company, and took a seat on its board.

Fingerprint has more than 2,000 third-party games, books, videos and activities in its portfolio. The Hopster move follows the announcement made earlier this year that the company wanted to double its content library to 4,000 by 2017.
