The European presence of Entertainment One’s top-rated series Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong is growing thanks to new broadcast deals with Cartoon Network and OUFtivi.
Cartoon Network will launch the 52 x 11-minute series for kids six to 12 in France and Belgium from February 2017 and on OUFtivi from June 2017.
Toronto, Canada’s eOne, which developed the series with Australia’s Sticky Pictures and produced in association with TELETOON Canada and ABC3 Australia, recently sold Winston to POP and KIX (UK), Teletoon (Poland) and MBC Group (Middle East and North Africa).
Spain’s Clan TVE and Portugal’s pay-TV network BIGGS also recently acquired the show, while in Canada, Corus-owned Teletoon debuted Winston on January 2, along with complementary bonus content across Teletoon’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social channels.
A gaming app was released in Canada, as well, featuring levels that can only be unlocked by codes found within the broadcast episodes of Winston.
Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong follows the intergalactic adventures of space kid, Winston, his feline best friend, Sir Dudley, and high-strung alien, Hampton.
