Based on the books by William Bee, Stanley the Can-Do Hamster marks the first collaboration between Komixx and BBC Worldwide.

London, UK-based Komixx Entertainment and BBC Worldwide have inked a development deal to create a new animated series entitled Stanley the Can-Do Hamster.

The collaboration—a first for the two companies—follows Komixx’s acquisition of author William Bee’s Stanley books back in June.

The toon will follow the titular hamster as he tries to help his neighbors in the town of Little Whiskers.

Stanley the Can-Do Hamster will be executive produced by BBC Worldwide, which will hold exclusive global rights to the IP. As such, it will air on CBeebies channels worldwide.

The deal comes not long after Komixx expanded its operations by opening an office in Australia, managed by Amanda Morrison. Komixx’s growing portfolio includes Toby’s Travelling Circus and Wanda and the Alien.
