Marvel and Disney XD have teamed up to release a 12-episode series of Rocket & Groot animated shorts.

The toons will premiere on Disney XD at 7 a.m. on April 10.

The episodes follow the two main characters from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy as they try to find enough money to buy a brand-new ship.

The shorts are animated by Passion Pictures, directed by Arnaud Delord and written by Chris “Doc” Wyatt and Kevin Burke.

The release comes not long after Marvel joined forces with Funko to launch a series of shorts in the vinyl Pop! figurine style, one of which featured Rocket and Groot. At that time, Marvel SVP of animation and family entertainment Cort Lane said short-form content was a high priority for the Disney-owned company. Lane serves as an executive producer for the Rocket & Groot shorts, along with Cara Speller, Alan Fine, Dan Bucklet, Joe Quesada, Stephen Wacker and Stan Lee.
