Poppy Cat rights owner Coolabi Group has appointed Hamburg-based Lizenzwerft as the brand’s licensing agent in Germany, Austria and German-speaking-Switzerland.
Lizenzwerft joins El Ocho and Landmark, which represent the brand in Spain and Japan, respectively. Lizenzwerft plans to develop yet-to-be-announced products based on the series.
Based on the books by Lara Jones, Poppy Cat (Poppy Katz in Germany) made its Nick Jr. UK premiere in 2011 and is now available in more than 140 territories worldwide. The show’s first season aired on KiKA in Germany in 2015, and season two will be available in the country on April 20.
