AMC Networks International–Central Europe has acquired Studio 100 Media’s CGI series Nils Holgersson (pictured) and The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill.

AMCNI CE has scooped up rights across the region for cable, satellite and terrestrial TV. Both series will begin airing in June 2017 on AMCNI’s Minimax feed in Hungary, Romania, Moldova, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Croatia and Slovenia.

Blinky Bill is based on Dorothy Wall’s books where the main character, a koala, gets into mischief with his best friend, a frill-neck lizard. Nils Holgersson is a reboot of the popular 2D-animated show from the 1980s.

Both Nils Holgersson and The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill were recently a part of a sale to WeKids Asia in China that also included Studio 100’s Maya the Bee and Vic the Viking.
