Sofia the First’s fourth season set to bow

The newest season of the Disney Junior show premieres on April 28, and will include Jane Krakowski (30 Rock) and Andrew Rannells (Girls).

Season four of Disney Junior’s Sofia the First will premiere on Friday, April 28 on Disney Channel US at 11:30 a.m.

The show, which is among the top two cable TV telecasts ever for kids ages two to five, was renewed for a fourth season in April 2015 (along with a fourth season for Doc McStuffins).

Sofia the First is about a little girl who becomes a princess and then learns the characteristics of being a true ruler.

The new season follows Sofia as she takes on a larger role in her kingdom and visits a new enchanted world called the Mystic Isles. It will also feature new guest voice actors including Andrew Rannells (Girls) as a unicorn named Skye, Megan Hilty (Smash) as the Crystalmaster named Prisma, Billy Body and Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings) as two gnomes named Malachite and Fig, and Jane Krakowski (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock) as a dragon.
